The church of Christ is neither denominational nor non-denominational but rather the church of Christ is un-denominational. We wear the spiritual designation “Church of Christ” (Romans 16:16) because Christ purchased the church with His blood (Acts 20:28), He is the bridegroom of the church (Ephesians 5:25), He is the builder of the church (Matthew 16:18), He is the head of the church (Colossians 1:18), and the church is His body (Ephesians 1:22-23). There is only one body (Ephesians 4:4); therefore, there is only one church.
