The Church of Christ is the body of baptized believers that have been obedient to the calls and commands of Jesus Christ through the gospel. The church of Christ is neither denominational nor non-denominational but rather the church of Christ is un-denominational. We wear the spiritual designation “Church of Christ” (Romans 16:16) because Christ purchased the church with His blood (Acts 20:28), He is the bridegroom of the church (Ephesians 5:25), He is the builder of the church (Matthew 16:18), He is the head of the church (Colossians 1:18), and the church is His body (Ephesians 1:22-23). There is only one body (Ephesians 4:4); therefore, there is only one church.
